Bangkok Night Identity Workshop and Forum is a workshop organized by Thai
Illuminating Engineering Association (TIEA), School of Architecture + Design
(SoA+D) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Tanteidan group (TNT), and Bangkok Design Festival (BDF). The purpose is to study and do workshop for better light in Bangkok on March 2-3, 2012 at Bangkok Code, KMUTT. Workshop leaders and speakers are well-known lighting designers: Kaoru Mende, Jan Ejhed, Tewa Srilaklang, Eleni Savvidou, Aleksandra Stratimirovic, Ulrike Brandi, Chris Fielstette and Dr. Acharawan Chutarat. Therefore, by working together, this activity will exchange idea among international guests and local community such as designers, educators, students, BMA staff (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration) and lighting industries to search for direction for light in Bangkok. Results will be
continued to analyzed and compiled into knowledge to distribute to people
who are interested. Reserve seats now.

Bangkok by Night Photographic Contest “บางกอกราตรี” has been created to
support awareness in light for public, especially for Bangkok at night
time. This mega city has been rapidly developed in the globalization
period. What would the change of Bangkok in night time be to maintain
balance between social, culture and technology. Results from the contest
will share experience and perception in order to develop for future
direction of light for Bangkok. Dead line March 1st, 2012.
