Financial
Aid
There are two basic ways, beyond
standard educational loans, that students can acquire financial
aid to defray costs of the HCD Program:
Research Assistantships (RA)
Teaching Assistantships (TA)
Research Assistants (RA): KMUTT
faculty are intimately involved in research on a variety of topics.
A large number of graduate students across KMUTT participate
in such research as research assistants (RA) working directly
with the KMUTT faculty supervising and conducting it. Research
Assistantships pay KMUTT tuition and a monthly stipend. There
are numerous possibilities for HCD students to be involved in
the diverse projects.
Teaching Assistants: Qualified
students can serve as teaching assistants (TA) to KMUTT professors
for various courses. The best candidates for such appointments
are courses that the student has taken as part of the HCD program
or undergraduate program. These are generally offered in the
School of Architecture and Design. TA's receive full or partial
tuition depending on the scope of their responsibilities. The
HCD Program Office will do its best to maintain a list of possible
openings. Qualified students will need to individually contact
the faculty member in charge of the appropriate course.
